The Quarry Reserve is located in Upper Ferntree Gully in the South East of Melbourne in Victoria. An old Quarry which has been transformed into this beautiful escape for people that live in the area. A man made lake with walking tracks approx 2.5km in length. On a beautiful sunset the view of the cliffs is quite captivating. The Quarry reserve has an extremely serene feel about it. I can understand why the locals keep it quiet. I was a lucky a local mentioned it to me, we made a few trips there but the light wasn’t right. On this occaision I lucked out and snapped this shot.

Paper:

Ilford Galerie Crystal Gloss (290gsm): This stunning paper offers photographers the ability to print images with a true ‘wow’ factor. The iridium finish gives every image a three-dimensional look ensuring that each print truly comes to life. We place a matting around the image to add depth to the overall look.

Ink:

Epsons Ultrachrome K3 inks are pigment based. They offer strong deep blacks, rich shadow detail and a broad smooth colour gamut, allowing for prints of tremendous impact. Independent print permanence tests indicate the lifespan of these inks when used on high quality papers as over 100 years before visible fading occurs.

Printer:

We print on our EPSON Stylus Pro 11880 printer with top of the range SERENDIPITY MEGARIP and expertly profiled by Les Walking ensuring consistency and quality every time. The 9 colour Epson UltraChrome K3 archival pigment ink system has the broadest colour gamut in its class. We can print to a maximum image width of 60inch by any length at the highest 2880dpi resolution. The Epson 11880 can print on all types of media with clarity, colour balance and precision.
