What can I say but WOW! Which is the airline I flew in with by the way. A picture every photographer wants to capture, we had been there 3 days and there had not been a tiny glimpse of sun whatsoever. The Lights had not been seen for 3 weeks so there was a good chance we weren’t going to get any action either. That day we had been driving around the South with inclement weather when I decided to do a U-turn and head to the North West, as we were driving the skies started to clear and I started to become anxious with excitement. The Aurora forecast looked great all I needed were the skies to clear. Usually, the lights make an appearance around 1 am. The time was 8.30pm and we were eating pasta out of a pan behind our Camper Van when I noticed little grey dots in the sky, very soon after the spectacle you see on print is what appeared. The great thing photographing these lights is using a 7-minute shutter opening I could eat my pasta enjoy the lights and photograph at the same time.
