On 2 previous occasions, I have photographed the Louvre and haven’t been entirely happy so this time I went and really looked at it. Unfortunately, the best viewpoint was on the edge of the roundabout in the middle of the road. So, me being me was not going to let anything stop me so like the frog in Frogger (if you remember that game) I crossed the extremely busy road, set up my tripod and started to photograph. I could feel the wind of the cars at my back so I had to make sure I didn’t fall or stumble backward. It was worth it as I absolutely love the capture.

Paper:

Ilford Galerie Crystal Gloss (290gsm): This stunning paper offers photographers the ability to print images with a true ‘wow’ factor. The iridium finish gives every image a three-dimensional look ensuring that each print truly comes to life. We place a matting around the image to add depth to the overall look.

Ink:

Epsons Ultrachrome K3 inks are pigment based. They offer strong deep blacks, rich shadow detail and a broad smooth colour gamut, allowing for prints of tremendous impact. Independent print permanence tests indicate the lifespan of these inks when used on high quality papers as over 100 years before visible fading occurs.

Printer:

We print on our EPSON Stylus Pro 11880 printer with top of the range SERENDIPITY MEGARIP and expertly profiled by Les Walking ensuring consistency and quality every time. The 9 colour Epson UltraChrome K3 archival pigment ink system has the broadest colour gamut in its class. We can print to a maximum image width of 60inch by any length at the highest 2880dpi resolution. The Epson 11880 can print on all types of media with clarity, colour balance and precision.
