My favourite temple in Egypt. Abu Simbel is the temple of Ramesses II, it was actually relocated brick for brick when they built the Aswan Dam. Everybody is asked to leave the temple at lunchtime to catch their plane or bus back to Luxor, I decided to stay around as I didn’t want people in my shot so as I was photographing my tour guide was screaming at me to hurry or we will miss the plane. I didn’t care, I finally got what I wanted then ran for the plane just making it as they were closing the doors. A very special image for me.

Paper:

Ilford Galerie Crystal Gloss (290gsm): This stunning paper offers photographers the ability to print images with a true ‘wow’ factor. The iridium finish gives every image a three-dimensional look ensuring that each print truly comes to life. We place a matting around the image to add depth to the overall look.

Ink:

Epsons Ultrachrome K3 inks are pigment based. They offer strong deep blacks, rich shadow detail and a broad smooth colour gamut, allowing for prints of tremendous impact. Independent print permanence tests indicate the lifespan of these inks when used on high quality papers as over 100 years before visible fading occurs.

Printer:

We print on our EPSON Stylus Pro 11880 printer with top of the range SERENDIPITY MEGARIP and expertly profiled by Les Walking ensuring consistency and quality every time. The 9 colour Epson UltraChrome K3 archival pigment ink system has the broadest colour gamut in its class. We can print to a maximum image width of 60inch by any length at the highest 2880dpi resolution. The Epson 11880 can print on all types of media with clarity, colour balance and precision.
